He is survived by: his children, Gregory Smith, Jr. of Selma, NC and Ziaye Brooks of Newport News; his siblings, Victor Guy (Helen) of Jacksonville, NC, Mitchell Smith of Jacksonville, NC, Mary Ann Smith-Copeland of Elizabeth, NJ, Patricia Newton and RaMona Owens; and his close friends, Earlene Ruffin of Selma, NC, Leacy Knox of Hampton Va and Nieta Blount of Hampton Va. He is also survived by four grandchildren; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and friends.
