With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gloria Whyte of Hampton, Virginia, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 1, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandmother Jessie Peterson; her mother Virgia Wilkerson; her uncles, Alvin Peterson and Pete Peterson; her siblings, Elanor Collins, Louise Terry, Bud Terry, Ronnie Terry and Leroy Terry; and her father John Terry.
She is survived by: her children, Juan McCune and Cynthia McCune; her grandchildren, Jayjia Bryant (Tarmartive), Andriana Williams (Michael), Shamira Inniss, Jeremiah McCune and Elijah McCune; her great grandchildren, Cedric Webb III, Brooklyn Webb, Emilio Naser, Nasir Collymore and Lonzo Williams; and her siblings, Michael Collins, Bernie Collins (Sharleatha), Charles Terry, Linda Marionneaux (Jeffery), Gwen Williams, Sharon Collins, Reneé Collins and Bonnie Leshoure. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
