He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Pine and Florence Slade; and his stepfather Warren Slade. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his daughters, Melissa Leskovar and Heather Granger; his sons-in-law, James Leskovar, Tray Granger and Kevin Spencer; his son Christopher Ekornes; his grandchildren, Nicholas Stivers (Maya), Jordan Knapp, Jonathan Reynolds (Shasmin Asbury), Christina Reynolds, Naomi Reynolds (Alex Pegg), Ashton Roberts, Sloan Roberts, Keagan Roberts, Taylor Luna, Lamae Spencer and Killian Spencer; his siblings, Warren "Tommy" Slade of Albuquerque, NM, Eloisa Statham (Joseph Wojcich) of Phoenix, AZ, Michele Fuller (Bruce) of Albuquerque, NM and Dumas Slade; and his son Quinn. He is also survived by children's friends as surrogate parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the American Red Cross, Wounded Warriors Project or the Veterans Memorial Fund.
