It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Hamilton Lawrence Jr. of Hampton, Virginia, born in Winchester, Virginia, who passed away on June 21, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothea Frasier Geanious and Ernest Hamilton Lawrence Jr.; his sister Jean Lawrence High; and his stepfather James Geanious. He is survived by: his wife Kitty Ferguson Lawrence; his children, Dorothy L. Garrity (Joe), Michael W. Lawrence (Joy) and Shelly L. Dederick (Wayne); his sisters, Kay L. Picciuto (Thom) and Regina G. Burgin; his grandchildren, Patrick, Evan, Madison, Zane, Kayla, Elizabeth, Abigail, Danny and Emma; and his great grandchildren, Theodore and Boyd.
