He is survived by: his wife Betty Hale; his sister Tinka Hale Barrett; his grandchildren, Carson Viars, Conor Hale, Callie Hale and Christopher Betts; and his great grandchildren, Lilliana Viars, Madison Viars and Amelia Johnson.
