She was predeceased by: her husband Gentry; her sister Ruth; and her brother-in-law Waverly. She is survived by: her children, Tamra Cobb (Gary), Linda Shuff and Mark Roberts (Cherise); and her grandchildren, Marquis (Amber), Brittany, Brenda (Leonard), Stephanie and Lee. She is also survived by great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hampton University (Office of Development) in memory of Elaine (Coles) Roberts; Class of 1956 or to First Baptist Church of Hampton - Christian Fellowship Choir/Music Ministry; in memory of Elaine C. Roberts.
