She is survived by: her husband James Clifton Lawrence; her sons, Rahsaan Vijay Lawrence and Toshiko Ashford Lawrence; her sister Carolyn Gray White; her nieces, Monica Hundley Pitre, Shacara Pitre and Michelle Hundley; and her nephew Patrick White.
