It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deacon David George Melendez (Hampton, Virginia), who passed away on March 19, 2020, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Eric (Vanessa), Tonia (Bobby Washington), LaShonne (Derrick Lucas) and Charisma; his grandchildren, Joel Bass, Sunaya, Saidah and Rashida of Washington; his daughter Anna Lucas; his parents, Mary and Domingo; his brother Jose Melendez; his mother-in-law Annabell Watkins; his wife Linda; his siblings, Mary Luz Melendez, Delores Melendez-Reeves (John), Deborah Melendez, Michael Anthony Melendez and Reymundo Melendez; his siblings-in-law, Elnora White, Patricia Watkins, Donald Watkins (Sharon) and Melvin Watkins; and his godchildren, Milton Jeter (CJ), Daniel Higgenbotham-Roberts, Jason Gibson, Justin Gibson, Derrick Alexander, Ebony Sass, Crystal Roberts, Saidah and Rashida of Washington. He was also cherished by loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
