He is survived by: his wife Patricia Darnell; his sons, David "DJ" Darnell and Nicholas Darnell; his grandchildren, Davisha Darnell, Arianna Darnell and Demetrius Grogins; and his brothers, Gene Powell (Barbara), Ernest Darnell and Earl Darnell (Nancy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
