He was predeceased by: his mother Marie Waters. He is survived by: his children, Cartangela Swinton, Derrick Swinton, Eric Swinton, Iontai Wells, Carlton Waters Jr., Kylil Waters and Mechele Waters; his sisters, Wanda Spratley (David), Elizabeth Waters, Ethel Dixon (Curtis) and Lynn Woods (Chris); and his friends, Victor Cheeseman and James Wright Sr.. He is also survived by eight nieces, two nephews, ten grandchildren.
