He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence R. Mason and Noel T. Mason; and his sister Katharine Nicely. He is survived by: his wife Kim Mason; his children, Chris Mason (Julie), Valerie Mason (Terry Fincher), Stephanie Smith (Jeff), Joe Mason and Emily Neal; his brothers, John Mason (Barbara) and Luke Mason; and his grandchildren, Zoë, Isaac, Caleb, Chloe, Ella and Xander. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
