She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. William Lloyd Mason Jr. and Isabelle Schofield Mason McGill; her brother William Lloyd Mason III; and her husband Ernest J. Hartelius. She is survived by: her daughter Penny Peed; her grandson Paul Masterson; her niece Nicolette Mason of Florida; and her cousin Peggy Pamplin of Virginia.
