He was predeceased by: his parents, Sadie Cole and Herbert Cole; and his brothers, Donald, Danny and Grady Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda R. Cole; his sons, Michael Ray Cole (Angie), Randy Cole (Jodie) and Jeff Sykes (Shelby); his siblings, Wilma King and Dale Cole; and his grandchildren, Austin Cole, Jesse Ray Cole, Andrew Sykes, Trevor Sykes, Shelby Anderson, Richard Shoemaker and Matthew Shoemaker. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid concerns, the family will have a private service 1:00 pm Friday, October 8, 2021 at Hampton Baptist Church by Pastor Andrew Garnett.
