He was predeceased by: his son James Brinkley; his stepson John Grimes; his wife Gloria G. Brinkley; his brothers, Harry L. Brinkley, Jr., W. H. "Bill" Brinkley, Willis "Sonny" Brinkley and Wesley "Shorty" Brinkley; and his fathers, Harry L. Brinkley and Myrtie B. Gardner.
He is survived by: his children, Myrtie Norrell (Don), Angy Pierce, Jesse Brinkley (Rhea) and Margaret Smith; his stepchildren, Judy Grimes, Kim Babb, Heaven Roy and Tracey Grimes (Michelle); his siblings, Floyd Jesse (Louise), Earl, John Brinkley (Cindy) and Betty Harris (Joe); and his sisters-in-law, Doris Tarkington Brinkley and Betty June Brinkley.
Friends may join the family prior to the service from 12 pm to 2 pm at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with limited gathering and social distancing.
