She was predeceased by: her parents, Barry Ben Hughes and Ethel Richardson Hughes; and her brother-in-law Thomas Whitt (Glen Ragsdale). She is survived by: her children, Carol Ann R. Beadles (Tommy) of Halifax and Glenwood Ragsdale, Jr. (Beverly) of Halifax; her grandchildren, Ellen Powell (Sean), Emily Beadles (Ethan), Erin Beadles, Scarlett R. Powell (Chris), Anna Ragsdale (Dylan) and Jackson Ragsdale (Chloe); and her siblings, Elizabeth Whitt of Concord, Eddie Hughes (Frances) of Brookneal, Kate Fisher (Richard) of Brookneal, Ben Hughes (Linda) of South Boston, Jimmy Hughes (Sue) of Turbeville and Jean Stanley (Sherman). She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
