She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie H. Epps and Lillian Hall Epps; and her siblings, Cecil H. Epps, Lawrence R. "Buck" Epps, Evelyn Epps Crews and Norell Ridgeway.
She is survived by: her son Donald "Bruce" Barksdale (Helen); her granddaughter Tonya McDowell (Chris); her great grandchildren, Andrew McDowell and Sydney McDowell; her sister Margaret Epps Hemric; and her niece Cathy Rice (Allen).
