It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freeda Harman Akers of Halifax, Virginia, born in Willis, Virginia, who passed away on June 7, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius C. Harman and Minnie Etta Weddle Harman; and her siblings, Leston Harman and Canary Hylton. She is survived by: her son Neal Howard Akers (Carey); and her grandchildren, Ashley Thompson (Mark) of Midlothian, VA and Will Akers (Sonia). She is also survived by Three Great Grandchildren.
