He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mavilia and Rose Mavilia; his siblings, Joseph Mavilia and Marie Padgett; his child Laurence Samuel Mavilia; and his children-in-law, Kevin Boyd, Robert Farr Jr. and Lynn Mavilia.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Mavilia; and his children, Rhonda Lazzari (John), John "Chip" Mavilia (Linda), Rebecca Boyd, Regina Farr, Teresa Ressler (JR), James "Steve" Mavilia and Joseph "Danny" Mavilia (Eileen). He is also survived by 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
