Gladys Nester Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 16, 2018, Gladys Nester (Gum Spring, Virginia), born in Max Meadows, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her siblings, Julia Belle, Millie Semones, Jim Swecker (Bill) and Muncy Swecker. She is survived by: her parents, Haymon Swecker and Ada Swecker; her children, Bill (Ann), Judy (Phillip), Reggie (Glenda) and Rhonda; her grandmother Pete; her cousin MaryLou Carter; her sister-in-law Marie Nester; and her niece Brenda Dodson. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews, along with several special friends.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be sent to God's Pit Crew or Samaritan's Purse to benefit victims of the recent hurricanes.
