With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Derek Ellis Cunningham of Gum Spring, Virginia, who passed away on April 2, 2024 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Cunningham and Winnie Cunningham; and his son Joseph Cunningham. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Cunningham; his sister Winnie Carol Honeycutt (Butch); his cousin Carter Harrison Brown (Kathy); his niece Kim Casey (Jerry); his nephew Will Honeycutt; and his great-nephew Declan Casey. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
