William Curtis Fugitt Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Curtis Fugitt (Grundy, Virginia), who passed away on January 2, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Jackson Fugitt and Alice Thompson Fugitt; and his siblings, Leona Fugitt, John Fugitt, James Henry Fugitt and Charles Fugitt.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Baker Fugitt of Grundy, VA; his daughters, Christine Baker of Grundy, VA and Carolyn Deel (Jeremiah Owens) of Nashville, TN; his siblings, Donald Fugitt, Margie Cook of Norfolk, VA. and Alice Faye Mullins of Norfolk, VA.; his grandchildren, Tony Baker (Bradshaw) of Grundy, VA, Greg Lester (Emilee Lester) of Nashville, TN and Tasha Sargent (Luke Mackey) of Grundy, VA; and his great grandchildren, Shaylee Renee Ann Baker, Ariana Grace "Gracie" Sargent, Everly Rayne Lester, Dawson Wayne Lester and Dominic Creed Mackey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In observance of COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing practicing will be observed, and the wearing of masks is required for attendance.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that any monetary donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
