She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Matney and Edna Matney (Justus); and her siblings, Haven Matney, Ira Matney, Herman Matney, Ray Matney, Carter Matney, Jerry Matney, Myrtle Matney, Shirley Stacy (Matney) and Lorine Keen (Matney).
She is survived by: her husband Charles Wilmer of Grundy, VA; her siblings, Christine Stacy of Grundy, VA, Wilma Blankenship of Hiddenite, NC and Richard Matney (Jo) of Hurley, VA; and her sisters-in-law, Carol Matney and Carolyn Matney. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations towards Geraldine's funeral bill.
