He was predeceased by: his parents, Hatler Ratliff, Sr. and Madie Ball Ratliff; and his siblings, Hatler Ratliff, Jr., Kermit Ratliff, James Ratliff, Deborah Kay Pollard and Pearlie Ratliff.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amanda Jane Viers of Haysi, VA and Bridgett Ratcliff (Chance) of Christiansburg, VA; his siblings, Roberta Jennings, Berlin Ratliff of Grundy, VA and David Ratliff of Grundy, VA; his grandchildren, Allie Viers, Emily Viers and Landon Ratcliff; his great grandchild Cora Dingus; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Aubri Dingus.
The family will receive friends at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday from 10:00 a. m. until the funeral hour of 11:00 p. m. In observance of COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be observed, and the wearing of masks is required for attendance.
