He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Roosevelt Altizer, Sr. and Maudie Mae Cassell Altizer; his son Glenn Allen Altizer; and his brothers, Henry Roosevelt Altizer, Jr. (Poss) and Rush D. Altizer.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Sue Fields Altizer of Woods Fork, VA; his sons, Charlie Altizer (Tami) of Breaks, VA, Bryant Altizer (Dewana) of Radford, VA and John Altizer (Maggie) of Asheville, NC; his grandchildren, Katrina Grizzle, Alicia Altizer, Hogan Altizer, Hannah Altizer and Virginia Pharr; his great grandchildren, Whitney Blackburn, Tyler Grizzle, Mycah Brown, Karlee Skeens and Mason Johnson; his great great grandchild Layla Blackburn; and his siblings, Maxine Woodard, Herb Altizer, Eugene Altizer (Shirley) and Leon Altizer.
