She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Scarberry and Stella Scarberry (Dotson); her husband Farley Sargent; her son Farley Sargent Jr.; and her siblings, Donnie Scarberry and Connie Jackson.

She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Jeannie Sargent; her grandchildren, Alyssa Sargent, Sarah Sargent and Josh Sargent (Alyssa Prater); her great grandchild Layla Sargent; and her grandson Christopher Scarberry. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
