He was predeceased by: his parents, Adison "Buck" Jackson and Mary Margaret Wells Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Whited Jackson of Grundy, VA; his children, Callie Kennedy (Stephen) of Bristol, TN, Kelvin Douglas Jackson of Glade Springs, VA and Gary Walter Cook (Kathleen) of Honaker, VA; his sisters, Christine Cook (Billy) of Vansant, VA, Diana Morefield (Donald) of Grundy, VA and Dreama Thomas (Donald) of Lebanon, VA.; his grandchildren, Jason Cook, Jeremy Cook, Caleb Cook, Kristen Short, Kara Trivett, Kaitlyn Wright and Hannah Amer; and his pets, Ernest T. Bass and Minnie Pearl. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Poplar Creek Church of Christ, Wednesday, February 17th after 6:00 p. m. with evening service to be held at 7:00 p. m. In observance of COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be observed, and the wearing of masks is required for attendance.
