He was predeceased by: his parents, John Orville Raines and Dorothy Stiltner Raines; and his siblings, Emma Gay Farmer, Billie Ruth Stiltner, Linda Hess and Lee James Raines.
He is survived by: his pet Harley; his wife Mary Lorene Skeens Raines of Grundy, VA; his sons, Jason Raines (Donna) of Yadkinville, NC and Kenneth Raines (Bhuna) of Los Angeles, CA; his siblings, Alice Fay Garrett (Herman) of Cumberland Gap, KY and John Raines (Judy) of Stuart Draft, VA.; and his grandchildren, Logan Raines and Skyler Raines. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Buchanan County Animal Shelter.
