It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jackie Clayton Deel of Grundy, Virginia, who passed away on March 10, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willoughby Deel and Bessie Jane Boyd Deel; and his siblings, Callie Deel, Billy and Thomas Deel.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Spurlock Deel of Grundy, VA; his daughters, Cammie Matney (Terry) of Abingdon, VA and Krista Cox (Michael) of Roanoke, VA; his siblings, Irene Deel of Grundy, VA and Percy Deel (Evelyn) of Vansant, VA.; his grandchildren, Tristian Matney, Colin Matney, Claudia Cox and Guinness Cox; his nieces, Kyra Lester and Deborah Lee; his nephew Jamie Deel; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Deel Shanahan of Grundy, VA, Danny and Jan Godsey of Bluff City, TN. He is also survived by several great nieces, nephews and friends.
