He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Delaney and Ethel Dales Delaney; his wife Glema; and his siblings, James, Everett, Elden, Avery and Catherine.
He is survived by: his sister Lucille Sebold; his children, Teresa Delaney of Winchester, Karen Peterson (Larry) of Salem and Russell Delaney (Tracy) of Roanoke; his grandchildren, Hannah, Rachel Delaney, Tiffany Delaney Brown, Jerry, Walker Peterson and Samuel Delaney; and his great grandchildren, Reagan and Riley Peterson.
The family has asked that in lieu of flower donations be given to the Roanoke Public Schools Education (RCPS) Foundation, Attn: Glema H. Delaney Scholarship, 5937 Cove Rd, Roanoke VA 24019 or online at http://www.supportroanokecountyed.org with notation for the Glema H. Delaney Scholarship.
