We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Darrel Ray Deel of Grundy, Virginia, born in Harman, Virginia. He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Deel and Elaine Deel (Bartley); his parents-in-law, Arthur and Opal Vanover; and his brother Jerry Deel.

He is survived by: his children, Christy Cool (Kevin) and Patrick Deel (Kelly); his grandchildren, Blake Thompson (Alyssa), Blair Thompson, Chloe Deel, Bree Thompson and Nolan Deel; his great grandchild Hadley Thompson; and his siblings, Carol Potter (Doug), Peggy Lester (Terry), Larry Deel (Vicki), Tammie Beam (Jeff), Terry Vanover (Betty) and Dixie Deel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
