It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clayton Vandyke of Grundy, Virginia, born in Keen Mountain, Virginia, who passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jake Vandyke and Lear Keen Vandyke; his daughter-in-law Teresa R. Vandyke; and his brothers, Hubert, Eulis, Allen, Ray and Bobby Vandyke of Michigan.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Vandyke; his children, Lisha Ratliff (David) of Pounding Mill, Randy C. Vandyke of Grundy and Michael Vandyke (Bonnie) of Pounding Mill, Virginia; his sisters, Shirley Horn of Abingdon, Judy Jenkins (Bruce) of Cedar Bluff and Susie Ball (Dwayne) of Greensboro; his friend Elaine Hatcher; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Follen (Scott), Clay Vandyke (Sara), Chelsea Lewis (Jody), Channing Vandyke and Terri Upright (Nathan).
