He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley McClanahan and Cora McClanahan (Breeding) of Grundy, VA.; his significant other Edna Lucille McClanahan (Street); and his daughter Sherry Lynn McClanahan. He is survived by: his siblings, Dewey, Hassell, Elster, Don McClanahan and Shelby Jean Belcher (McClanahan); his wife Helen McClanahan (Scalf) of Lake Panasoffkee; his children, Steven McClanahan (Jami), Robin Viers (Jimmy) and Brad McClanahan of Abingdon, VA.; his grandchildren, Adam McClanahan (Holly) of Grundy, VA, Tanner McClanahan (Devan Yates) of Grundy, VA, Tyler McClanahan (Whitney) of Vansant, VA, Sydney Viers of Lumberton, NC, Jamie Viers of Grundy, VA, Jonathan Viers (Mariana Barajas) of Grundy, VA, Jessica Wasson (Brandon) of Lexington, KY, Shannon Ramey (Ryan) of Abingdon, VA and Kristen Rife (Coty) of Georgetown, KY; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Anthony, Beau McClanahan, Anniston, Gracie McClanahan, Jasmine, Cassie McClanahan, Taylor, Addison, Hudson Collier, Emma, Lilly Wasson, Madeline, Molly Rife and Maria Viers; and his close friend Bill Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
