He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa "Elza" Duncan Rittenhouse and William Rittenhouse; and his parents-in-law, John and Ruby Coleman. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Rittenhouse (Coleman); his children, Coley Rittenhouse (Wanda), Dallas Rittenhouse (Sherri) and Tracey Moyer (Richard) of Grottoes; his grandchildren, Amanda Lucian (Steve), Emily Holloway (Andrew), Amy Barnhart (Jamey), Chris Moyer (Laura), Holly Moyer (Daniel), Natalie Wheeler (Chad), Heather Thomas (Justin) and Cole Moyer (Cedrice); his great grandchildren, Hunter, Landon Barnhart, Delanee Holloway, Kaitlyn, Samuel, Oliver, Amelia Moyer, Jordan Sprouse and Aria Thomas; and his siblings, Frances Whitmire of Harrisonburg and Robert "Bobby" Rittenhouse (Bessie) of Afton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
