He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Spitzer and Constance Spitzer (Lam); his son Christopher Michael Spitzer; and his brothers, Robin Otis Spitzer and Charlie Spitzer, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Spitzer (Stroop); his brother Ronald Alan Spitzer (Donna) of Marshall, NC; and his sister-in-law Jacqueline Spitzer (Liebert) of Port Republic. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
