He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Earl Alford and Anna Eleanor Alford. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Haynes Alford; his sons, Derek Alford (Kaite) of Monterey, Christian Alford (Savannah) of Grottoes and Justin Alford of Crimora; his siblings, Cecilia Mawyer and Pretrea Mawyer of Waynesboro; and his grandchildren, Aiden, Ethan, Maddie and Sawyer.
