He was predeceased by: his parents, Arland Wilson and Audrey Wise (Hollen); and his wife Helen Wise (Hart). He is survived by: his daughter Susan Wise Whittle (Ran); his grandson Tyler of Oakton, VA; his daughter Dr. Barbara Wise (Brian Krakover); his grandsons, Jacob, Grant, Max of Fayetteville, NC and Marcus Wise of Ft. Defiance; his great grandchild Audrey; his siblings, Betty Wise Hanger of Virginia Beach, Dr. John Wise (Wanda) of Staunton and Virginia Coleman of Salem; his sister-in-law Glenna Cleveland (James) of Nellysford; his nieces and nephews, Joe Sherrill, Derek, C. J. Wise, Christy Wise, Brad Hanger, Michael, Donna Golladay, Greg, Amber Cleveland, Teresa and Steve Thompson; his close friend Marie McLaughlin; and also Annie Mathot.
