He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Barner and Mary Lee Anderson Knott; and his brothers, Mose and Sylvester Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kaye Grandy Knott; his son Randy Knott; his stepdaughters, Shatora Brown and Keosha Grandy; his siblings, Herbert Anderson (Hazel), Arthur James, Edward Lee Knott, Nellie Williams (John) and Shirley Barner; and his children, Zamir, Maryah Grandy, Jeffrey and Ja'marla Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
