He is survived by: his children, Amanda Via Schoolcraft (Sam Burns) of Swope and Shawn Via of Port Republic; his sisters, Connie Sue Scott (Donnie) of Port Republic and Elizabeth "Sissie" Hitt of Grottoes; and his grandchildren, Joshua Schoolcraft, Daniel Schoolcraft and Cheyanne Via. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
