He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harold and Robin Funk (Coakley); his brothers, Robert E. Funk and Francis Funk; and his sister-in-law Audrey Funk.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie "Midge" Funk (Smith); his son John Adam Funk (Joanne Mary Walsh); his grandson Isaac Thomas Harold Funk of Sheffield, England; and his siblings, Ann Davis of Indiana and Edwin Funk of Lynchburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
