With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frederick Ellsworth Hoke Sr. of Grottoes, Virginia, born in Glen Allen, Virginia, who passed away on July 6, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Katie Hoke (Thorpe) and James Dorsey Hoke; his wife Edith Sue Hoke (Layne); his children, Freddy Hoke and Cheryl Hoke; and his siblings, Marion Hoke, Marie Scott, Jackie Hoke, Lelia Hoke, Gladys Kitchen and Helen Floyd.
He is survived by: his children, Joy Hoke (Kari Vanzant), Dawn Hartman (Henry) of Grottoes and Gary Hoke of Largo, FL; and his sister Carolyn Clark of Iowa. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
