He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Henry and Florence Crawford Mace; his wife Peggy Alice Mace (Patterson); his son Kenneth H. Mace; and his siblings, Lucille, Leon, Lyle, Paul, Robert and Lerttie.
He is survived by: his children, Troy L. Mace (Kim) of Mint Springs, Shawn W. Mace (Naomy) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and Julie D. Mace of Staunton; and his grandchildren, Mollie, Nathanial, Kenneth Jr., Hannah, Clara and Ammara.
