She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Wood and Anna Wood (Hunter); and her son Thomas Powers. She is survived by: her husband Rufus Powers; her children, Susan Arey (Sam) of Mount Sidney and Douglas Powers (Vicky) of Grottoes; her grandchildren, Whitney Short, Timothy Good, Cheyenne Good, Emily Powers, Will Powers and Doug Powers, Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Anna Good, Polly Graves and Maverick Short of Doug Powers, III..
