He was predeceased by: his parent Douglas Daye, Jr.; his stepson Anthony Myers; and his grandson Chris Walton. He is survived by: his parent Mary Emma Wilson Daye; his wife Barbara Daye; his children, Bessie Walton (Paul) of Chatham, Virginia and William Daye of Chatham, Virginia; his siblings, Joyce King of Martinsville, Virginia, Edward Daye, Larry Daye, Bobby Daye (Janice) of Callands, Virginia Daye and Nelson Daye of Martinsville, Virginia; and his grandchildren, LaKyah and Marcus Walton of Chatham, Virginia. He is also survived by four sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
