She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie Lee Pannell and Lucille Pruitt Pannell; and her siblings, Alberta Lampkin, Doreacy Berger, Amy Johnson, Paige, James, Len and Vernon (Lewis Pannell).
She is survived by: her husband Swanson Bennett; her children, Judy Taylor (Creed) of Collinsville, VA, Barbra Bennett of Gretna, VA, Laura Brown of Gretna, VA, Debbie Mattox (Keith) of Rocky Mount, VA, Larry of Gretna, VA, Timothy Bennett of Gretna, VA and Randy Bennett of Danville, VA; her siblings, Shirley Jefferson of Pittsville, VA, Curtis Pannell (Linda) of Gretna, VA and Sylvester Pannell, Sr. of Dinwiddie, VA; and her sisters-in-law, Frances Hall of Gretna, VA, Pauline Bennett of Gretna, VA and Gracie Pannell Gregory of Martinsville, VA. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren.
