She is survived by: her children, Debra Bradner (Kenneth) of Gretna, Virginia, Donna Carter of Gretna, Virginia and James Carter, Jr. of Gretna, Virginia; her grandchildren, Nicholas Carter (Jennifer), Nichole Carter, Jamel Carter, Preston Carter, James Harris and Jaloni Harris; her great grandchildren, Isaiah Carter, Kaitlyn Carter, Olivia Carter, Colin Carter, Jayden Collins, Zion Carter, Peyton Carter and Reese Johnson; her siblings, Earnest Powell (Faye), James Powell, Benjamin Powell (Marva), Esther Marshall (Charles) and Lola Carter; and her extended family, Travis, Angela, Laura Jefferson, Regina Adams, Shante Davis, Roxanne Davis and Bo "Stevie" Jennings. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home (668 Zion Rd, Gretna, VA 24557).
