She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard VanDeVyvere and Clara VanDeVyvere (Kurzweil); her husband Carroll Simpson; her sons, Mark, Kenny and Stephen Simpson; and her sisters, Catherine Reutter, Anna Mildred Schaffer and Rosie Jo Burns.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Baker (Clark) of Nashville, TN, Dianna Lavoie (Allan) of Gretna, Jeff Simpson (Dale) of Gretna and Deacon Chris Simpson (Sue Ellen) of Watertown, TN; and her siblings, John VanDeVyvere (Mary Ann) of Kansas City, MO and Margaret Gouger of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
