She was predeceased by: her husband Harland Bowman; her parents, Ray Mikels and Anna Mikels; her daughter Penny O'Dell; and her siblings, Phillip Mikels, Donald Ray Mikels and Phyllis Dawson.

She is survived by: her sons, Tim Nash (Ruby) of Lynchburg and Terry Wehrly of Missouri; and her grandchildren, Stephanie, Amy, Kimberly, Mary Beth, Timmy, Renee, Terry Lynn, Titus, Terrence, Frisco and Darrell. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
