He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Jones and Minnie Jones; his former spouse Vernell Poole Jones; his spouse Shirley Ann Luck; his son Nathaniel "Khaleel" Jones; his siblings, Frances Bennett, Elizabeth Bennett, Elise King, Herman, Floyd and Freddie Jones; his grandchildren, Tahisha Carter, Danielle McLaughlin, Kelvin Jones and Kyle Keen; and his great grandchild Gavin Hawkins.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer K. Taylor (Byron) of Danville, Magertha Echols (Clarence) of Danville, Janet L. Winchester (Bernard) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Marvin Ken Jones (Tiffany), Michael Keen of Woodbury, Jerome Keith Jones of Blairs, Rodney Kelvin Jones (Christa) of Roxboro, Jewell Fitch of Hamden, Connecticut, Linda McLaughlin of Hamden, Connecticut and Roland McLaughlin (Sonia) of Altamonte Springs, Florida; and his siblings, Geraldine Hunt of Danville and Therman Jones (Eleanor) of Salina, Kansas. He is also survived by her three children, grandchildren and in-laws.
