She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Foster Shelton and Sally Parker Shelton; her husband Thomas "Tom" William Rowland; her siblings, Ramsey Shelton, Bill Shelton, Paul Shelton, Curtis Shelton, Jim Shelton and Ethel Campbell; and her stepmother Mary Wilson Shelton.
She is survived by: her daughter Cecile Barbour of Gretna; her sisters, Jeanie Spray of Altavista and Marie Bibee of Hurt; her grandchildren, Chris Farris (Wendy) of Gretna and Ray Brown of Georgia; and her close friends, Travis Jefferson and Angie Jefferson. She is also survived by 8 great- grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
