We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2023, at the age of 54, MariEllen Sherman Meierdiercks of Gretna, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Carolyn Elizabeth Hodgehead and Ellsworth Earl Sherman. She is survived by: her daughter DorothyJean Meierdiercks (Curtis); and her sisters, Debbie Rigney, Elizabeth Lawrence (Butch) and Kathy Cooley.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, 1400 Edley Place, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
